New Media BC Membership Options

Basic Member

  • New Media Company (2-19 employees): ($350 + GST)*
  • New Media Company (20+ employees): ($650 + GST)*
    • These are companies which derive a significant amount of their revenue through new media tools, products, and services. Examples include:
    • Games, Digital Entertainment
    • Digital Film, Animation & VFX
    • Interactive Design, Web Tools, Web 2.0
    • Mobile Applications / Content
    • E-Learning
  • Educational Institute: ($350 + GST)*
    • These are schools offering programs in IT, multimedia, eBusiness, software development, etc.
  • Individual Member: ($150 + GST)*
    • This is the membership you need if you are a freelancer or independent contractor. It provides all the benefits of membership to one (1) person only (non-transferable).
  • Employee Member: ($50 + GST)*
    • This is the membership you need if you are an employee of a larger organization. It provides all the benefits of membership to one (1) person only (non-transferable, online payment not yet available).
  • Student Member: ($35 + GST)*
    • This is the membership you need if you are a student enrolled in a post-secondary institution. It provides all the benefits of membership to one (1) person only (non-transferable, online payment not yet available).

Supporting Member

  • Service Providers & Government Organizations ($1,250 + GST)*
    • These are companies, corporations or government agencies that support or provide services to new media businesses. Examples include:
    • Law & Accounting Firms
    • Consultants
    • Financial Services
    • Recruitment Services
    • Government Organizations

Full Member

Level 1 Sponsorship Opportunites including Membership ($1,500 + GST)*
  • Level 1 is a Networking events sponsor - Logo is included on website and event email blasts.
Level 2 Sponsorship Opportunites including Membership ($2,500 + GST)*
  • Level 2 is a Professional Development events sponsor - Logo is included on website, event email blasts, news story and event materials. Sponsor also has the opportunity to provide handouts and recieve passes to selected events
Level 3 Sponsorship Opportunites including Membership ($5,000 + GST)*
  • Level 3 is a Patron Member sponsor - Logo is included on website and newsletter, opportunity to take part in strategic discussion with the New Media BC Board, possible involvement in advocacy efforts/press mentions etc.
Level 4 Sponsorship Opportunites including Membership ($20,000 + GST)*
  • Level 4 is an Industry Leader sponsor - (Major events - VIDFEST, Forums, Bootcamps etc.) Highest-profile events with media exposure and extensive marketing. Profile on landing page. Customized advocacy and sales strategy discussions. Exposure as a supporter of talent, training, tax and other digital media community supporting efforts. Unique sponsor opportunities exist for each event. Only 1 allocation per sector of the industry, for example: Game, Animation/VFX, Mobile, eLearning, Web, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services, etc.

Public information may be published in directories and circulated to other NMBC members and/or public.

Private information is collected solely for the purpose of internal NMBC use. (e.g. Membership contact, statistical analysis, industry tracking, etc.).
